ROME – A beautiful Fiat 500 red of yesteryear magically turns into a Ferrari 599 GTB, always red, a dream for many kids adults, and avid enthusiasts, and a now, in a video that has gone viral on the web. In just three weeks the video ” Snik-Ferrari ” by Greek rapper SNIK has already totaled more than 5 million views. The music clip, raging in Greece where it’s become an instant hit, was filmed in Italy, among the skyscrapers of Milan and sheds of the Niguarda area.
In the video of just under 5 minuets SNIK repeats ” I want a Ferrari ” with a haunting chant but with a pace and intensity that can also capture non-fans of the genre. A 1970 Cinquino (Fiat 500) with canvas sunroof comes in to a workshop to be serviced by two woman mechanics in a shed located in a seemingly rough neighborhood. Under the skilled hands of the two, as if by magic, the old Fiat turns into a beautiful Ferrari 599 GTB with which the singer rambles ” by night ” in the Milanese metropolis, complete with spectacular filming from above.
”The idea for the video – explains Gabriele May, car nut, director and owner of the production house of Malaka Films that has made the viral clip – born originally from the text and the torment in Greek ‘Thelo Ferrari’, I want a Ferrari, that we interpreted in a manner deliberately ironic. We wanted to turn into reality a dream of many young people and the frame of the Milanese metropolis was perfect as a backdrop for the story. The success of the video? – It clarifies May, which helped to launch with its clip the rapper Maruego – For many may be surprising, but everything has been rehearsed, and California has been a big help, because driving a Ferrari is really a dream for many young , all over the world”.
Well, now we wait and see if SNIK gets his wish…. Source: ANSA
